About NestLiving

NestLiving is a student accommodation booking platform for Chinese international students, helping students heading to the UK, the US, Australia and other destinations search, compare, book and settle into student housing, with support in Chinese. The platform works directly with overseas student accommodation operators, is paid commission by those operators, and charges students no service fee. Tenancy agreements are signed directly between the student and the accommodation provider, and rent and deposit are paid directly to the provider's official account.

What is NestLiving?

NestLiving is a booking platform for overseas student accommodation. It is not a sublet landlord and not a resale agency.

Students filter properties by city, university, budget and move-in date, compare room types and prices, and submit a booking application online. NestLiving's Chinese-speaking advisers help confirm availability, complete the application, and follow the contract through to signature. After move-in, students can still come to NestLiving for help with maintenance requests, extensions and check-out.

NestLiving is paid commission by overseas accommodation operators, which is why the service is free for students.

How is NestLiving different from other platforms?

The main difference is commute data.

NestLiving has calculated real commute times from 2,980 properties to their nearby universities, 37,151 records in total. Instead of a vague claim such as "close to campus", students see a specific, checkable figure: a 12-minute walk from this property to that university.

Commute time directly shapes daily life for a student, and it is the single hardest thing to verify on your own when choosing a property.

How do contracts and payments work?

Students do not need to "trust" the platform, because by design the platform never touches student money.

  1. The tenancy agreement is signed directly between the student and the overseas accommodation operator. NestLiving is not a party to the contract.
  2. Rent and deposit are paid directly to the operator's official account, never through NestLiving.
  3. NestLiving charges students no service fee, viewing fee or application fee.
  4. NestLiving is paid commission by accommodation operators, as is standard in the industry.

In other words, the student's money is protected by the structure itself: direct contract, direct payment.
